At Cotton Mill, we make things out of a love for nature and a concern for the environment.

Believers in a sustainable, eco-friendly lifestyle, Cotton Mill uses natural fibers and has adopted a production facility and process that are both environmentally friendly and people-focused.

Our state-of-the-art facility, which is made of rammed earth, runs on solar energy, harvests 200,000 liters of rainwater, organically treats and recycles all the water it consumes and has banned the use of all forms of plastic.

The floor opens to a sunny and brightly lit working space that is as much about producing some of the best cotton products in Nepal as it is about building friendships and communal living.

For many of the 40+ women working here, this is their first job outside their homes, and they take great pride in joining a professional team and becoming independent earners. It takes them away from their regular household chores, but our work floor gives them a sense of community that increasing urbanization has eroded from their communities. Once the fabric they craft with their hands is packaged you can see the pride they take in having a hand in producing them.
